I think the words you are looking for are Fizzy Juice

Burger King came out with a new breakfast menu a few months ago. I am sure that you have either seen the ads on tv or heard them on the radio. One of the new items that is getting highlighted is their Mimosa.

When I first heard the ad, I said to myself "whaaaaaaaaaaaaa?". Since when can you get an alcoholic drink to go? Well, at the end of the ad there is a disclaimer that says, BK Mimosa does not contain alcohol.

Last time I checked there were two ingredients needed to great this breakfast treat - orange juice and champagne (or sparkling wine). I assumed that they just were adding soda to the juice so that it would have the carbonation. After a quick trip to Google, I found out that I was right on the money. This "mimosa" is no more than orange juice and sprite. I do love this combination, my church back home uses this exact recipe to make a punch for children whenever there is a post-mass reception. To this day, I would opt for the punch over the wine, but I still would not consider this a mimosa in any way shape or form.

Please, Burger King, don't just throw mimosa around like it doesn't mean something. There is nothing worse than getting fizzy juice when you are expecting to have your B.A.C. increased.

Your ads are cute. I'm still eating a hamburger.

On the drive home yesterday I got stuck behind a bus at a red light. Normally there are advertisements for things like Jazz Brunch, or the Donkey Show on the back of the bus. This time it was an ad for Veganism! The ad was pretty much what you see below but said "Choose Vegan" rather than Vegetarian.

I have to be perfectly honest. It took me a second to understand the ad as I have never eaten a kitten, nor have I eaten a baby chick. After a moment, I realized that these meat hating people want me to associate a chicken with the baby chick. Unfortunately that just didn't happen for me. Then when I understood the concept all I could think about was that baby chicks wouldn't have enough meat on their bodies for me to bother with. But whatever.

After getting over the whole how-could-you-ever-think-of-eating-something-cute thing, I was struck by the fact that the advertisement was for veganism. Not vegetarianism. It is hard enough for me to imagine life with hotdogs and bacon, I don't think I want to be in a world without cheese....

I will give the organization some credit. I did look up their website. Mainly to try and find the advertisement, which sadly is not available. BUT they do have one starring a pig and a puppy. The piggy is so damn cute. This group needs to stop making the food animal cuter than the pet because really, it keeps taking me a second to figure out who I am supposed to be eating.

Well Done PETA

Pure Genius. That's all I have to say about this ad.

Is Red that Gross?

Watching some TV before my kickball game and saw an advert for maxi pads. I have to ask, why is the liquid always blue? Last I checked, nothing that comes out of my body, comes out blue. It is just colored water. Would it really be that terrible for the color to be red? Would anyone really think it was blood and not colored water? I just find it a little weird. This all kind of goes along with the whole women's bodies aren't media friendly concept. (You know what I'm talking about, penises are funny - vaginas are just taboo).

Well, the blue liquid is just something to think about.

Everyone needs a Brazilian Buddy

I'm on an email list which provides me with coupons for beauty products/spa treatments/etc that even after the mark down is still way beyond my price limit. Today's coupon was just too good to be true. Right now I have been offered a 2 for 1 Brazilian. I mean what woman doesn't want to drag their BFF along with them to experience all that fun.

I personally love the advertisement of:

"You have your friends, your Facebook friends and your BFF’s. You have school buddies, lunch buddies, IM buddies. But do you have a Brazilian Buddy?"

So yeah...I'm not sure the qualifications for a Brazilian Buddy, do you?
