My Booooooooof

This weekend I went to NYC with a few friends. As we are huge fans of Cornwall's here in Boston, we decided to find a bar that offered patrons the possibility of playing board games. Through the powers that be, aka Yelp!, we found ourselves at the 675 Bar between 13th ad 14th street in the Meatpacking District.

The bar is underground and used to be home to a sex club. As soon as you descend into the venue, it becomes obvious that there were many dirty secrets kept down there. The walls are rough stone, and there are small rooms that branch off the entry way. Currently, these spaces have small tables for private game playing. Sadly, we did not arrive early enough to score a private room. Our patience won out and eventually were able to score a portion of a couch, a chair, a stool, the end of a coffee table, and most importantly - Jenga.

If you have never played Jenga in the dark - in a club - while drinking, well then, you have not yet played Jenga. Our games were intense and to the point where the structure was just one block on top another over and over again.

We continued to play on as the bar got more and more crowded, and eventually gave into the pop music and got our dance on. This place was just so much fun, and even though there are more bars that I can think of out there, I want to return to this one the next time I am there!

Itsy Bitsy String Bikini!

I have been in a big need of a new bathing suit. Last summer was rather disappointing with all the cold weather and overcast weekends, so I never committed to a new suit. This year, I have a good feeling. My inbox constantly gets bombarded with sales emails from J-Crew and Victoria's Secret. I already tried the J-Crew angle and realized that their sale is still more than I am willing to pay so I figured I would go Vicky Secret.

The store had an amazing green/blue tie-dye bikini that I knew should be mine. It is a halter top (with a little push-up - there I said it) and a string bikini bottom. I have never gone string bikini but I figured, why not just go for it. Sadly, I realized that the suit was not on sale but I didn't want to risk trying to find the same suit online (or more truthfully I wanted a suit for the weekend).

This was the closest bikini that I could find online, which makes me very happy with my on the spot purchase.

I am excited to wear this on the shores of the Narragansett Bay this Memorial Day Weekend. If I could live in a bikini I think I would, oh office dress codes...

Not only do Girls POOP but they think its funny (the word, not the substance)

This past weekend I was on the Cape with some freakin' awesome ladies. We left Saturday morning and arrived at our destination around noon. Most of us travelled in our bathing suits so we were able to walk immediately down to the beach. It was wonderful. After soaking up some rays we ventured into the water. Per usual, the first steps were the coldest. But it soon became pretty comfortable to stand and chat.

The amount of E! gossip shared between the eight of us was pretty intense and completely amazing. Later that night I came to realize why I find these ladies to be so easy to get along with. We probably made more fart jokes over the span of a few hours than I usually hear over the course of a month.

There is just something that makes you giggle when you hear a fart noise. I feel like people try to hold it in (the giggle - as well as the fart) because they don't want to be seen as less feminine. But I'm pretty sure no one is going to look down you for laughing at the sound of someone letting one go. Just writing about the sound is making me smile and laugh.

But yeah. Especially considering that we didn't all grow up in the same area (thus a great cross section), I would say it is safe to say that girls love fart jokes as much as boys. :)
