Jezebel posted a column about sexism and the Academy Awards. People, who ever they are, have begun discussing that if Kathryn Bigelow wins for Hurt Locker will she have won for merit or because she was a woman.Honestly, people.
These are the types of discussions that simply annoy me. Why do people always need to ask if a person won an award because of their race, gender, sexuality, etc? Furthermore, if James Cameron wins, I find it doubtful that people will ask if he gets to take the gold statue home because the voters just didn't want to give it to Kathryn.
