Last night was girls night out with some of my kickball teammates and few bonus extras. We went downtown for girly drinks at Flash's - which personally, I think they could have been a bit stronger - but were super tasty and went right on down. But we had drinks such as The Assassin, The Loosey Goosey, and The Twisted Sister (group favorite). Me and the Cap't were the first to arrive. Nothing makes you feel cooler than being one of two people sitting across from each other at a table that could easily seat 10. Whatever. We sat there with purpose and got a headstart with the drinking, ignoring the skank eye that was being thrown our way for those first 30 minutes by a table of six.
Eventually the rest showed up...yes girls night was supposed to start sometime between 7 and 7:15 so they were ontime, we were just obscenely early. We all had a great time catching up. Most of the group is in school together, but being in class is not the same as being at the bar, bar is definately better :)
One thing I did learn last night is that while February is the shortest month of the year, it is also the busiest and most eventful. Everyone at the table needed this night to blow off some steam - everything from work, classes, writing for journals, or taking crazy makeorbreak exams...oh and let us not forget that there are weddings to be planned! Good night gals. Can't wait to do it again.
